OUR ADVENTURE TRIPS
FOR THE 2024-25 SEASON

First Glance

Jan 04 to Jan 11 2025

Your perfect introduction to Hokkaido and deep powder

Max group size: 6 guests. Minimum: 2 guests.

What you get:
A trip for good level skiers and boarders who are mostly interested in lift-access runs and improving their deep powder technique, with the occasional hike to access side-country powder runs.

On this trip we can ski up to 6 days (with the option of resting one day if you get tired), stay in 2 or 3 different hotels and visit 3 or 4 different mountains around Hokkaido, including some of the big household names you probably heard of (like Niseko and/or Furano). We can also do an introduction to ski touring if the whole group is on board – ski touring and backcountry safety equipment might be needed (can be rented) – and you will get to explore and unwind in Sapporo city on the final day if you wish.

Where do we go:
Furano, Rusutsu, Kiroro, Sapporo – Teine (actual itinerary might change based on conditions)

THE PERFECT BLEND

Jan 11 to Jan 18 2025

The perfect blend of ski touring and lift access

Max group size: 6 guests. Minimum: 2 guests.

What you get:

This trip is designed to blend lift-access, hiking and some ski touring to access the best available powder snow in each location. Open to both skiers and boarders (no split boards needed).

We will ski up to 7 days (with the option of resting one day if you get tired), and visit 4 or 5 different mountains around Hokkaido. We might do some ski touring too, but usually not entire days, just odd bits here and there to return to resort after amazing pristine fresh powder runs. Boarders can just use snowshoes – ski touring and backcountry safety equipment can be rented. You will get to explore and unwind in Sapporo city on the final day if you wish, to take a look at the preparations for the world-famous Snow and Ice Festival

Where do we go:

Kiroro, Yotei, Kokusai, Sapporo – Teine, Asahidake, Asahikawa to rest (or Kamui to ski), Furano, Furanodake (actual itinerary might change based on conditions)

SKINS IN THE GAME

Jan 18 to Jan 26 2025

Uncompromised side and backcountry
touring in central Hokkaido

Max group size: 5 guests. Minimum: 2 guests.

What you get:

If you are in good shape, familiar with “earning your turns” and do not mind a slightly less luxurious hotel or a last minute change and/or longer drives for the sake of skiing the best possible powder on the day then this trip is for you.

A trip for very high level skiers – no boarders allowed on this one, sorry.
6/7 ski days – 1 rest day (with the option to keep skiing) – at least 3 or 4 different hotels, visiting at least 5 different mountains/resorts (some without any resort or ski lifts – just lodges and ski touring!).

Where do we go:

Furano, Asahidake, Tokachidake, Furanodake, Kurodake, Kamui (actual itinerary might change based on conditions)

Powder and Festival

03 to 11 Feb 2024

A deeper look at Hokkaido's lesser known spots

Max group size: 6 guests. Minimum: 2 guests.

What you get:

On this trip we will touch some of the lesser known resorts in Hokkaido to show you the more authentic spots where it is unlikely to see many off-piste skiers – which means more snow and fresh tracks for us! Boarders are welcome if you meet some technical pre-requisites – please contact us for details.

We will ski up to 7 days (with the option of resting one day if you get tired), and visit 4 or 5 different mountains around Hokkaido. We might do some ski touring too, but usually not entire days, just odd bits here and there to return to resort after amazing pristine fresh powder runs. Boarders can just use snowshoes, split boards are not strictly needed – ski touring and backcountry safety equipment can be rented.

The final afternoon and evening will be spent in Sapporo, to visit the 4th largest city in Japan and take a look at the world-famous Snow and Ice Festival

Where do we go:

Kiroro, Kokusai, Sapporo – Teine, Kamui, Asahidake (actual itinerary might change based on conditions)

All the trips above require a GOOD level of ski/snowboard technique, in deep/fresh snow. The "Skins In The Game" also requires some previous ski touring experience. If you are a good level skier but feel like you need a little improvement on powder-specific technique or have never done ski-touring before, please consider one of our add-on clinics. The clinics can be taken just before the trips. Backcountry safety equipment (transceiver and backpack with shovel and probe) is mandatory on all trips and helmets are HIGHLY recommended (lots of tree skiing). Max group size in 2023-24 is 6 people (per guide - larger groups are possible by adding a second guide), minimum to run is 2.
